I confess, I’m quite confused by the story line at the moment.

Seven Fingered Mike. Does that mean he has seven fingers on one of his hands, or does he have a total of seven fingers on both hands? He either has two extra fingers or is missing three fingers.
I suspect the latter, if he existed. Sometimes a scary situation and scary banter serve to motivate whoever you are attempting to motivate.
Seven Fingered Mike sounds like a former yakuza with problems following directions.
He was actually interning with the yakuza for college credit but he could never remember the coffee order right. Mike lives a sad life 🙁
Good luck with the move! I haven’t been to SF in ages, not since the ’70’s I think. I remember it being a fun town. Very pretty part of California that’s for sure.

SF is still a bit out, right now I’m in limbo at a friends for about a month.
